In 1967, the Israel Navy possessed only a few copies of Jane's Fighting Ships. Most navy ships carried only a small thin pamphlet titled Arab Navies. It contained only limited data about the Egyptian navy. The hand written pencil notations are translations of the notes about the ships contained therein.
