1. COMSIXTHFLT, VADM W.I. MARTIN, MADE PERSONAL INSPECTION OF USS
LIBERTY(ATGR-5) AT 091200Z.
2. EVACUATION OF ALL INJURED AND KIA COMPLETED AT 091233Z. FIVE
ZERO WOUNDED PLUS ALL RECOVERED REMAINS IN AMERICA; EIGHT WOUNDED
IN LITTLE ROCK. TOTAL OF TWO TWO REMAIN MISSING. INTEND AIR LIFT
REMAINS TO NSA NAPLES FOR FURTHER TRANSFER. WILL AIR EVAC
SERIOUSLY WOUNDED AS NECESSARY.
3. FLOODED SPACES ARE NINETY PERCENT FULL OF WATER AND OIL WITH
HEAVY OIL FUMES. NO SIGNALS OR NOISE HEARD AT ANY TIME TO
INDICATE MISSING PERSONS TRAPPED BELOW DECKS.
4. PAPAGO JOINED LIBERTY AT 1510Z. SERVFORSIXTHFLT MATERIAL
OFFICER PRESENTLY ABOARD LIBERTY MAKING SURVEY OF DAMAGE AND
REPAIRS REQUIRED.
